Since 1974, Arts industrial site at Nersac, near Angoulême in France, is dedicated to designing and manufacturing rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries for a wide range of customers. This 13,500 m² ARTS Energy facility constitutes a flexible industrial tool, unique in Europe, and is divided into 2 assembly sectors dedicated to rechargeable cells and batteries. Patented electric arc welding is the basic skill in the Ni-Cd, Ni-MH and Li-ion battery production shop, but it also implements gluing, ultrasound welding, marking and assembly processes. Its long experience in producing complex batteries integrating electronics, the sector operates test and programming benches required for Li-ion battery implementation.
